Spring Clean Up Week

Take this time to clean-out basements, garages, closets & ect.
The landfill will be open for FREE disposal to City of Beach residents. Landfill hours will be Monday through Friday 1 pm – 7 pm and Saturday, May 6th: 9 am-2 pm. The landfill is located at 3440 HWY 16. The City of Beach Public Works Department will NOT be providing curbside collection this year.
Here’s how Spring Clean-Up Week will work:
- The landfill will accept items from Beach residents, including furniture and appliances, free of charge (except for tires & Freon capture). Hours have been extended this year for your convenience.
- There will be a $10 charge for each car tire. Larger tires will be charged by size ($20 for tires lager than 21”)
- Please bring your current water bill to show identification with proof of address.
- Appliances must be cleaned of all food and other debris before they will be accepted.
- No hazardous waste such as pesticides, insecticides or harsh cleaning supplies may be disposed of at the landfill.
- All paint must be in solid form with the lid off (you may add floor dry/kitty litter instead).
- Residents are reminded to tie down or tarp all loads to prevent littering along roadways. Unsecured loads may be charged a $25 violation fee.
- Loads must be sorted! Please sort into piles of the following:
Household Lumber Trees & limbs
Metal Construction debris (items for the pit)
